Akademia Chair

The softly curved seat and backrest of the Akademia Chair from Nikari gently combines with the straight frame to create a classic silhouette. Influenced by many cultures, this dining chair resulted from designer Wesley Walter's Master's Thesis work while at Aalto University in Helsinki. Well-suited for residential and commercial use, the manufacturing of this chair pays homage to Finnish heritage, the simplistic form draws from the American Shaker style, and the minimalistic materials brings inspiration from Japanese design traditions.
