Nelson™ Spindle Clock
Vitra
by Vitra
The Nelson™ Ball Clock by Vitra is a timeless gem that brings a splash of mid-century magic to your wall. Designed by the iconic George Nelson in 1947, this clock is a dazzling testament to innovation and style. Launched in 1949, this clock was part of a groundbreaking collection of fourteen unique timepieces. Each clock boasted a distinct design and though they shared the absence of numbers, they were anything but uniform. Fast forward thirty-five years, and Nelson Associates had crafted over a hundred clock models, showcasing an astonishing variety of shapes, colors, and materials. After Nelson's passing in 1986, his extensive archive—boasting roughly 7,400 pieces of design history—found a new home at the Vitra Design Museum. Vitra began reissuing these iconic clocks in 1999 and they continue to charm with their unique aesthetics and superior craftsmanship.
