The Nelson™ Ball Bubble Pendant brings a soft, diffused glow to George Nelson's sculptural approach to modern lighting. Designed in 1952, this lamp was inspired by a military technique used to coat and preserve ships, which Nelson adapted by spraying a translucent plastic polymer over a lightweight steel wire frame. The resulting spherical shade reveals the structure beneath its luminous surface, creating an airy pendant that feels equally at home over a dining table, in a living space, or suspended in an entryway. Available in three sizes, this pendant pairs its distinctive organic form with brushed, nickel-plated steel details for a timeless expression of midcentury design.
