Lina Armchair

Gärsnäs's Lina Armchair wears its construction almost like a piece of tailoring. Fredrik Färg and Emma Marga Blanche shape the upholstered back from recycled pressed felt, then trace it with a single continuous seam whose color can be chosen to either disappear into the upholstery or draw the eye along the chair's curves. It is a small detail with remarkable effect, giving this chair a graphic quality that changes with every material combination. Fabric or leather wraps the seat and back, while a wooden base in ash or oak brings warmth beneath the sculpted form. Offered in both armchair and lower easy-chair proportions, as well as with a five-star swivel base, Lina can shift in character while preserving the beautiful stitched gesture at the heart of the design.
