The Hornbæk Portable Lamp by GUBI captures the spirit of Denmark's northern coastline in a sculptural, portable design. Originally created for the five-star CORI Hornbæk Hotel, the lamp draws inspiration from the seaside town's maritime heritage, luminous skies, and relaxed coastal rhythm. Folded canvas shades evoke sails catching the wind, while the portable silhouette recalls the lanterns once carried along docks and aboard ships. A hand-glazed ceramic base is paired with a refined antique brass-finished handle that gathers the canvas shades above, creating an elegant balance between craftsmanship and functionality. When illuminated, the canvas softly diffuses the light, recalling lanterns guiding sailors home and the comforting glow of coastal homes at dusk.
