The Eames® Molded Plywood Lounge Chair is a landmark of twentieth-century design, born from Charles and Ray Eames' experiments with molding plywood into forms that could comfortably support the human body. Introduced in 1946, its low-slung profile pairs a sculpted five-ply seat and back with flexible rubber shock mounts that soften movement and give the chair its distinctive sense of comfort.
