The Eames® Molded Plastic Chair is one of Charles and Ray Eames' most enduring designs, celebrated for its simple shell form, adaptable comfort, and extraordinary range of configurations. First introduced in 1950, the chair evolved from wartime experiments with molding technology and has continued to be refined over time with more sustainable materials and updated performance options. Today, the molded shell is available in recyclable polypropylene or 100% post-industrial recycled plastic, with a subtle matte texture that preserves the tactile quality of the original design. From classic 4-leg, wire, and dowel bases to rocking and height-adjustable task configurations, the chair can be tailored for dining, lounging, working, and more. Select versions can also be upholstered or paired with a seat pad, creating an exceptional range of color, material, and comfort combinations.
