The CH24 Ilse Crawford Soft Wishbone Chair by Carl Hansen offers a fresh interpretation of one of the most celebrated designs in furniture history. Originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949, the iconic CH24 Wishbone Chair has remained in continuous production since 1950, admired for its graceful silhouette, exceptional comfort, and masterful craftsmanship. This special edition introduces a carefully curated palette developed by designer Ilse Crawford, bringing new depth and personality to Wegner’s enduring classic. Crawford’s approach was not simply to add color, but to enhance the way the chair is experienced within a space. The collection’s translucent, water-based finishes allow the natural beauty of the wood grain to remain visible beneath each hue, creating layers of subtle variation and warmth. The result feels contemporary yet timeless—a thoughtful balance of heritage craftsmanship and modern living.
