Dune Raised Bowl

Some objects arrive at the table carrying centuries of memory. The Dune Raised Bowl is one of them. Designed by Kelly Wearstler for Serax, it is carved from marble and shaped into a form that feels simultaneously archaeological and completely now. The sculpted cracks and ridged rim are not embellishment; they are the language of ancient vessels translated into the vocabulary of the contemporary home. Wearstler finishes the marble in a dual register: matte where the eye expects depth, high-gloss where the light should collect. The result is a bowl that reads differently depending on where you stand, what the light is doing, and what hour of the day it is.The veining moves through warm tawny and dark slate tones — each piece cut from a unique section of stone, meaning no two are identical.
