Designed by Jens Juul Eilersen, the Cocoon Sofa is inspired by the pupal stage of the silkworm, inviting you to sink into a layered world of comfort and emerge as a more relaxed version of yourself. With its high supportive frame, soft lounge-like proportions, and multiple layers of cushions, this piece is designed for those who want a sofa that feels deeply personal, flexible, and generous. This sofa is built around the idea of choosing your own comfort. Some people want to sit upright, while others want to lounge, float, and nest into softness. With triangular cushions, lumbar bolsters, back cushions, armrests, neck bolsters, and pillows in all shapes and sizes, this piece gives you the freedom to shape both the look and feel of the sofa. The seat cushions feature Eilersen's renowned down top, balancing firmness and softness at the same time. For an especially expressive design, this piece can be customized with different colors and textiles across the frame, cushions, and individual elements, allowing the sofa to come alive as a colorful and truly unique composition.

Every Cocoon is made to order. Here's where to start.

01Fabric
Explore Eilersen's full upholstery collection, from understated woven textures to plush velvets, dimensional boucles, and premium wool blends. Fabrics are grouped below by price category, with leather selections presented separately. The Cocoon can also be ordered in multicolour — different sections or cushions in different fabrics for a truly unique result.
02Size
The Cocoon is a fully section-based system — combine an easy chair, corner section, center section, closing sections, and an optional chaise lounge into virtually any layout. Eilersen sofas are typically made up of three elements — a corner section, center section, and a closing section — but you can always add more depending on your needs. All dimensions are frame sizes. Seat height 14 ¼", total depth 41 ¾". Also available with a lower arm and back at 24 ¾" height.

03Legs
The Cocoon is delivered with its standard hidden legs — a black lacquered wood finish that tucks neatly beneath the frame, keeping the sofa's soft, enveloping silhouette front and center

04Optional Cushions
Fill your Cocoon with cushions of every shape and size — back cushions, triangle lumbar bolsters in down or foam, in any quantity. Cushions can be ordered in the same fabric as your sofa or in a contrasting fabric for a multicolour look. Seat cushions feature Eilersen's renowned down top for both firmness and softness.
