Hans J. Wegner’s CH468 Oculus Chair is an invitation to luxurious relaxation that blends striking design with exceptional comfort. Originally conceived in the 1960s, its unique production story began when Carl Hansen discovered photos and a small clay model of the chair in Wegner’s studio. Fast forward to 2010, and this chair became a reality, thanks to Wegner’s technical drawings and a full-size prototype. Named after the Latin word for "eye," this lounge chair features distinctive eye-shaped stitching on its back upholstery, designed to support your shoulders, neck, and back with absolute comfort. Its expansive backrest, sloping armrests, and plush seat cushion create an inviting, restful experience that has made this chair a beloved classic. The sculptural silhouette, paired with a sleek stainless steel frame and angled legs, makes the chair a true statement piece in any space. Whether on its own or grouped with the matching CH446 Footstool for added luxury, this chair will effortlessly become the centerpiece of your living room or lounge.
