Responsibly Crafted Upholstery

Sustainability built into the frame, cushion, and fabric.

Rowe approaches sustainability through quality, longevity, and responsible material choices. As one of the founding members of the Sustainable Furniture Council in 2006, Rowe continues to improve its materials and manufacturing processes with a focus on reducing environmental impact.

The brand uses domestically sourced sustainable hardwood lumber, high-density cushions, low-VOC water-based glues, recycled materials, and CertiPUR-US certified foams to create upholstery that is made with greater care from the inside out.

Responsible Frames

Kiln-dried hardwoods from sustainably managed domestic forests, with no added formaldehyde.

Cleaner Cushions

Many cushions include fiber made from recycled water bottles or circularly recycled wraps.

Certified Foams

CertiPUR-US certified foams, made without formaldehyde, phthalates, or ozone depleters.

Better Materials

Sustainable, upcycled, recycled, and PFAS-free fabric options across the line.

Recycled Steel

Springs are U.S.-produced using recycled steel for more responsible construction.

Low-VOC Glues

Water-based, low-VOC glues support cleaner indoor air and lower-impact production.

Recycled Paperboard

Arm cardboard is made from recycled paperboard for a more thoughtful internal build.

Made to Last

Durability and comfort are central to Rowe's sustainability approach.

Choose the Right Frame

Start with the piece that fits your room, from sofas and sectionals to chairs and ottomans, considering scale, layout, and seat depth.
