Sola Pendant

The Sola Pendant from David Trubridge is a bold statement piece that draws on the timeless geometry of the Coral Pendant and Floral Pendant but with a captivating complexity that creates an intricate, almost mesmerizing pattern. Inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus, this pendant emerged from Trubridge's 2010 Icarus installation in Milan, which depicted the fateful flight of the boy who flew too close to the sun. The installation was later acquired by the Pompidou Centre in Paris, cementing its place in the world of design history. With its delicate yet dynamic frond-like “fingers,” this pendant mimics the radiant flares of the sun, creating a striking, decorative presence wherever it’s placed.
