Fritz Hansen began in 1872 when enterprising cabinet-maker Fritz Hansen obtained a trade license in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Early in the 20th century, the forward-looking Christian E. Hansen, son of Fritz Hansen, started experimenting with steam bending beech. Through a partnership with famed designer Arne Jacobsen, they created the Series 7 Chair, but little did they know it would become the most widely sold chair in the world. Fast forward to the 21st century, and Fritz Hansen has solidified its stance as a leader in modern furnishings.
Between their Classic and Contemporary collections, they have sustained collaborations with the likes of Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjærholm, Cecilie Manz, Jaime Hayon, and more. Lekker Home is proud to be the largest Fritz Hansen showroom in New England.
