The Eames® Molded Plastic Side Chair brings Charles and Ray Eames' iconic shell design into one of the most versatile seating families in modern design. First introduced in 1950, the gently contoured shell grew from their experiments with molding technology and has continued to evolve through new materials, colors, upholstery, and base options. Today's shell is available in recyclable polypropylene or select versions made from 100% post-industrial recycled plastic, maintaining the soft matte texture and comfortable waterfall edge that define the original. Choose from classic wire, 4-leg, and dowel bases, stackable configurations, or height-adjustable task versions with a five-star base. The shell can remain exposed, receive a tailored seat pad, or be fully upholstered on select configurations, creating an extensive range of combinations for dining rooms, offices, conference spaces, hospitality settings, and beyond.
