Linea RMT6 Chair

The Linea RMT6 Chair from Nikari is defined by a single, beautifully resolved gesture: a horseshoe-shaped backrest that sweeps around the body to become its arms. Designed by master cabinetmaker Rudi Merz in 2011, that continuous curve is shaped from northern European ash and joined with meticulous finger joints that make the craft part of the chair's expression. Below, rounded legs and a broad upholstered seat continue the softness of the silhouette, while mortise joints secured with wooden nails reveal the Finnish furniture-making tradition behind its seemingly effortless form. Sculptural on its own and graceful around a table, it is a chair where every curve has been considered down to the joint.
