Wood & Furniture
A mark of environmental excellence awarded to products that meet high environmental standards across their life cycle, from raw materials and production to use and disposal. Products are designed for disassembly to ensure the repairability and recyclability of individual materials, constructed and tested to EN-standards, and backed by a five-year warranty.
A globally recognized standard verifying that wood and wood-based products come from responsibly managed forests and supply chains, in line with the Forest Stewardship Council's requirements for environmental protection, social responsibility, and economic sustainability, with full traceability from forest to final product.
Textiles & Air Quality
The official environmental quality mark of the European Union for textiles, a voluntary, third-party verified, ISO 14024 Type I ecolabel based on strict, science-based criteria covering hazardous substances, energy and water use, waste, durability, and recyclability. HOUE proudly uses textiles certified to this standard.
A testing and certification system for textiles that verifies products are free from harmful substances. Raw materials and finished textiles are evaluated for prohibited and hazardous chemicals under standards such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100, protecting consumers through strict chemical limits in textile production.
A third-party certification program that ensures products contribute to healthier indoor air quality. Materials and finished goods are assessed for low chemical emissions, including volatile organic compounds, verifying suitability for indoor environments with reduced pollutant exposure.

MyTrash
HOUE stopped looking at household plastic waste as a problem and started seeing it as the resource it is, creating furniture made from recycled everyday plastic trash. The technology behind re-using this material is developed in Denmark, the furniture is designed by Danish designers, and the plastic elements are produced in Denmark, so MyTrash is the result of mixing Danish design and Danish innovation into a new kind of material.
