A'mare Sedia

The A'mare Sedia from Edra reduces seating to a series of clear lines, using transparency itself as part of the design. Handmade polycarbonate rods form the seat, back, and supporting structure, catching reflections as light moves across and through the chair. Their deliberately irregular surfaces introduce a tactile quality that contrasts with the apparent simplicity of the construction, while specialized screws hold the rods together in an elementary arrangement. Jacopo Foggini's material treatment gives the familiar form of a dining chair an almost liquid presence, reflecting the design's broader exploration of water made solid.
