Made by Hand is a contemporary Danish design brand celebrating fine craftsmanship and understated luxury. Founded in 2014 with the vision to develop innovative and durable design objects made by local craftspeople in Denmark and abroad.

Guided by a passion for natural materials and permanence, Made by Hand offers designs with beautiful details and timeless personality for home interiors, offices, and liveable spaces.

Five disciplines, one philosophy.

Made by Hand works with skilled makers and workshops in Denmark and abroad, each critical to the quality and detail of the collection.

Metal Work

Traditional tools and modern machines shape lamps in aluminum and brass in the Danish countryside, from the classic workshop lamp to the Petite Machine lamp.

Knitting Work

A 3D knitted lampshade developed with Kobleder, a third-generation knitting workshop in Austria, resulting in the Knit-Wit and Flying lamps, knitted without any production waste.

Dyeing & Weaving Work

The NABLA rug collection is made with Golran in Milan, woven in India from bamboo silk and New Zealand wool through a careful, tonal dyeing process.

Glass Work

The mouth-blown PePo lamp draws its silhouette from a pumpkin, its soft waves and repetitive pattern giving it a versatile appeal from every angle.

Rice Paper Work

The handmade Papier lamp is built one piece at a time over a pre-bent frame, distributing light through structure and translucency alone.
