History

Over a century of Danish craftsmanship and design thinking.

1910–1930

Established as Fredericia Stolefabrik (Fredericia Chair Factory). Known early for exceptionally high-quality furniture.

1940–1960

In 1955, Andreas Graversen integrates modernist ideals through a landmark collaboration with Borge Mogensen.

1970–1990

Fredericia evolves with the times; the circle of designers expands, renewing and reinterpreting the design ethos.

2000–2020

Acquisition of Erik Jorgensen (October 2020) expands the archive with sculptural classics and upholstery expertise.
