GUBI

A century of design brilliance, where past and present meet.

Founded in Copenhagen, GUBI is a global design house that brings together modern icons and the creative voices of today. The collection moves fluidly between eras, rediscovering remarkable designs from the twentieth century while shaping the originals of tomorrow.

Each piece reflects a thoughtful balance of beauty and purpose. Materials are chosen with care, craftsmanship is treated with respect, and every design is created to endure well beyond passing trends.

Buy once, buy forever

Slow design, made to last.

Longevity is a guiding principle in GUBI’s approach to sustainability. Each design begins with carefully considered materials and a belief that well-made objects should endure—both physically and aesthetically. The result is furniture and lighting that age gracefully, where form and function exist in quiet balance.

Beyond design, the company works to lessen its environmental footprint through the use of recycled and recyclable materials, improvements to packaging and transport, and ongoing efficiencies in production. These efforts, and the progress made each year, are outlined in GUBI’s annual sustainability report.

Sustainability focus areas

Longevity

Durability, timeless design, and quality that supports decades of use.

Materials

More recycled and recyclable inputs with responsible sourcing standards.

Efficiency

Improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and refining packaging.

Transparency

Open reporting and continuous improvements across people and planet impact.

Sustainability

Materials with presence, choices made for the long run.

Across furniture, lighting, and objects, GUBI treats materiality as part of the design story. What a finish looks like in daylight, how a textile wears, how a chair is built to be serviced. The goal is a collection that holds up in real homes, not just in the moment.

Sustainability efforts are measured and updated over time, with practical focus areas like recycled inputs, smarter packaging, and products designed to be maintained, separated, and responsibly handled at end of life.

Upholstery programs

Textiles and leathers selected for durability, with options that may include recycled content and certifications.

Responsible wood

Ongoing work toward broader FSC® coverage, with attention to sourcing standards and material testing requirements.

Recyclable metals

Steel and aluminum components designed with disassembly and recycling in mind.

Circular updates

Select designs explore recycled composites and reduced waste, while aiming to retain performance and longevity.

Drift among the clouds with Pacha by Pierre Paulin.

In Pierre Paulin’s earliest sketches, sitting was never just a posture. It was a sensation. Rounded volumes, low and generous, shaped to feel like they float and still somehow hold you with ease.

Pacha keeps that sculptural, organic silhouette across configurations, with and without armrests. The result is a cocooning softness that brings a sense of calm to the room.
