The Eames® Molded Plywood Dining Chair from Herman Miller is mid-century modern design at its most iconic—bold, sculptural, and surprisingly comfortable. First crafted in 1946 as a design experiment in the apartment of Charles and Ray Eames, this chair quickly earned its place in the pantheon of modern classics. With its ergonomically molded plywood seat and back, paired with springy rubber shock mounts, it delivers an unexpected level of comfort wrapped in minimalist style.Light in scale but strong in structure, this authentic Herman Miller piece features a sleek base that adds a modern edge while keeping things airy and versatile.

Features a molded five-ply seat and back, available in a selection of wood veneers including walnut, white ash, santos palisander, ebony-stained ash, or red-stained ash. The chair is supported by either chromed-steel or black powder-coated legs and back brace, or an alternative version with eight-ply wood legs and back brace for a cohesive all-wood aesthetic. Rubber shock mounts connect the seat and backrest to the frame, allowing for flexible movement and added comfort. The base includes self-leveling nylon glides to ensure stability and protect flooring surfaces.
