VP6 Topan Pendant
&Tradition
by &Tradition
The VP14 Topan Table Lamp from &Tradition gives new dimension to Verner Panton’s very first mass-produced design. Originally created in 1959 as a pendant, this iconic sphere now stands tall as a freestanding table lamp with all the sculptural presence and playful levity that made the original unforgettable. A spun aluminum shade—lacquered or plated for a flawless finish—rests above a transparent acrylic base that seems to vanish from sight. The base is precision-extruded, cut to size, and flame-polished until smooth and crystal-clear, creating the illusion that the globe floats effortlessly in midair. Finished with a soft textile cord, the lamp pairs striking geometry with a gentle glow, making it as captivating by day as it is by night.
