VL45 Radiohus Pendant

The VL45 Radiohus Pendant by Louis Poulsen is one of the most celebrated examples of Danish functionalist lighting design. Originally created by renowned architect Vilhelm Lauritzen in the late 1930s for Radiohuset, the iconic headquarters of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, the pendant formed part of a comprehensive architectural vision that extended from the building itself to every interior detail. Designed in collaboration with Louis Poulsen, this pendant remains remarkably relevant today, combining timeless proportions, exceptional craftsmanship, and beautifully diffused illumination. The pendant features a hand-blown, three-layer opal glass shade that creates a soft, uniform glow while directing light downward through the open base.
