History and production
Founded in 1889 by Ludvig Andersson, Kasthall was Sweden’s first industrial rug company and played a defining role in the evolution of the country’s textile industry. From the beginning, the company paired innovation with craftsmanship, helping establish Kinna as a central hub for Swedish textile production.
That continuity remains one of the brand’s defining strengths. To this day, Kasthall rugs are still designed and crafted in Kinna, where the factory remains closely tied to the area’s long-standing design heritage.
