A'mare Poltrona

The A'mare Poltrona from Edra explores the contrast between a familiar, almost elemental furniture form and an unexpected material. Jacopo Foggini constructs the chair entirely from transparent polycarbonate rods, allowing light to pass through and reflect across the structure in a way that recalls the shifting surface of water. Each rod is handmade and intentionally irregular, giving the otherwise precise arrangement subtle variations that become apparent to the touch. The result is a substantial armchair that seems visually lighter than its form suggests, capturing the idea of transforming the fluidity and brilliance of water into a lasting object.
