The Mikado Side Chair from Vitra is an elegant fusion of serene sophistication and commanding presence that’s sure to turn heads. Wrapped in plush upholstery on all sides, this dining chair invites you to sink in and stay a while. But here’s the real magic: the dynamic movement of the backrest. Thanks to an ingeniously simple mechanism hidden beneath the seat, the backrest gracefully reclines at a slight angle, moving with you as you shift and relax. Its covers are not glued, making them easy to remove for cleaning or replacement.

Flexible backrest, back shell in recycled post-consumer polypropylene, seat and backrest upholstery in polyurethane foam. Non-stackable wooden base in natural oak or dark oak, or aluminium base with powder-coated or polished finish. Cover not glued, in fabric or leather with two seams along the sides of the backrest.
