Always vacuum in the direction of the pile and avoid using the vacuum brushes in the “out position” to prevent damage. Stains should not be cleaned with water, as this can harm the fibers; instead, professional carpet cleaning services are advised for flat washing. It’s normal for new rugs to shed and any excess pile should be carefully removed as it appears. Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight may cause the colors to fade.
