Flax Organic Towels
Morihata
The Flax Pendant by David Trubridge draws inspiration from the elegant, long slender leaves of the indigenous flax plant, or harakeke, a symbol of sustainability in Māori culture. Revered for its valuable fiber, the flax plant carries a deeper meaning, encapsulated in the Māori proverb: "If you cut the central stalk of the flax bush, where will the bellbird feed?" This philosophy of balance and respect for natural resources is reflected in this pendant’s thoughtful design. Crafted from eco-friendly plywood, this pendant is available in two sizes, making it perfect for a variety of spaces, including those with lower ceilings where its shallow form shines. The pendant is offered in a selection of eleven stylish finishes, including an all-natural plywood option or painted on one side for a bolder look, with classic shades like black providing a modern contrast.
Please note, this is available with a colored interior or exterior. Upon selection, the color that is named first will be the exterior while the color that is named second will be the interior. The bamboo, black, and white options have a matching interior and exterior.
