Que Onda Vos (Guatemalan slang): “Yo what’s up?”

Que Onda Vos was born of Belgian designer Hanne De Wyngaert’s desire for her work to make a positive social impact. During a trip to Guatemala for a textile project, De Wyngaert discovered the rich and varied history of Guatemalan weaving and saw an opportunity to marry her design sensibilities and socially responsible aspirations. Since then, Que Onda Vos has been a collaboration between De Wyngaert’s designs and artisans in Mayan communities who make her designs a reality.

All of Que Onda Vos’s wool textiles are made using handspun, naturally dyed wool and are handwoven on a footloom by artisans in Momostenango, while cotton pieces are made using backstrap looms in communities closer to Lake Atitlan.

Lekker Home is proud to be the only Que Onda Vos showroom in New England, and while we only stock select items, are able to order from their entire catalog.
