Position Overview
Are you an interior design professional looking to work with some of the most celebrated design brands and the firms that use them? We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Trade A+D Sales Associate, specializing in servicing interior designers and architects in the residential space.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with fellow design professionals, promoting our product portfolio, and driving sales within the interior design and architecture community. The Trade A+D Sales Associate will play a crucial role in achieving our sales targets and contributing to the overall growth of the company within this specific market segment.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and cultivate relationships with interior designers, architects, and design firms, serving as their primary point of contact.
•Work with clients to understand their project requirements and provide accurate, timely quotations.
•Assist clients with floor plans, furniture selections and finish recommendations.
•Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and project leads.
•Manage customer success through regular order status communication, prompt customer service resolution, coordinating delivery logistics and providing post delivery and install support.
•Collaborate with the design community to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and offer exceptional customer service.
•Stay updated on industry trends, design projects, and events in order to generate potential customers and sales opportunities.
•Present our products to design professionals, highlighting their features, quality, and suitability for various projects.
•Attend industry events and networking opportunities to connect with interior designers and architects and promote our brand.
•Collaborate with other sales team members to develop targeted marketing strategies and initiatives to reach interior designers and architects effectively.
•Assist with general showroom operations as needed including packing, shipping, and quarterly inventories
•Ability to work an occasional Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
Qualifications and Skills
•2+ years of professional work experience, preferably in design sales, interior design, architecture, or related industries.
•Proven track record of building relationships and selling products or services to interior designers and architects.
•Strong understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and materials relevant to the interior design and architecture industry.
•Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
•Self-motivated, results-oriented, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Familiarity with design software, such as AutoCAD or 3D modeling tools, is a plus.
•Strong Apple/Mac skills and proficient in Google Workspace suite

Not necessary but if you possess the following skill sets or attributes, we want to hear about it!
•Degree in interior design or related field
•Previous experience working in an interior design, architectural firm, design showroom
•Experience with selling custom furniture, luxury goods, or made to order items.
•Familiarity with Interior Design Software; Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), SketchUp Pro, CAD, Revit, etc.
•We have a soft spot for Dutch but any additional languages to English are always of interest.
