Lekker Home

Sustainability

At Lekker Home, we believe that great design should do more than just look good—it should do good. Our commitment to sustainability ensures that each piece you bring into your home is as kind to the planet as it is beautiful.

Every sustainable choice we make helps protect our planet. By reducing our reliance on virgin resources and minimizing our environmental footprint, we’re actively contributing to the fight against climate change. Sustainable practices help preserve biodiversity, reduce pollution, and conserve precious natural resources.

Luxury and sustainability go hand in hand. Investing in timeless designs with robust constructions ultimately reduces the need for replacements, cuts down on waste, and leaves you with heritage pieces to pass down for generations.

Sustainability

Built for the planet. Made for people.

Sustainability is about more than just the environment—it’s about the people too. Ethical manufacturing practices ensure that workers are treated fairly and communities are supported. By prioritizing sustainable and ethical practices, we create a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals around the world. This commitment fosters social equity and economic stability, making a difference in the lives of those who create the products we love.

Thoughtful sourcing

We prioritize responsibly harvested wood, recycled materials, and low-impact textiles that reduce strain on natural ecosystems.

Ethical production

Our manufacturing partners uphold fair wages, safe working conditions, and long-standing craft traditions that support skilled communities.

Enduring design

We invest in timeless forms and durable construction so your furniture lives with you for decades—not just seasons.

Against throwaway culture

In a world of throwaway culture, we’re here to make sure your furniture stands the test of time. We focus on only offering quality, durable designs that are built to last. Think of it as a new principle for living, a life of slowness where furniture is meant to be cherished, not chucked.

Choosing fewer, better pieces changes the way a home feels. Instead of temporary solutions, you surround yourself with objects that grow more meaningful over time. It’s a quieter, more intentional approach to living that values permanence over passing trends.

Durability and longevity

We believe in furniture that stands the test of time. By focusing on quality and durability, the pieces you bring into your home are ensured to have a long lifespan. This means less furniture heading to the landfill.

However, we understand that sometimes accidents happen. That’s why many of our brands are happy to restore your piece to its full glory if anything ever happens to it.

Responsible sourcing and ethical manufacturing

At Lekker Home, we prioritize materials that are sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly. From reclaimed wood to organic textiles, every material used is chosen with care to minimize the design’s ecological footprint. By choosing sustainable materials, each design helps reduce deforestation, conserve resources, and minimize waste.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond materials into how and where products are made. We work with partners who invest in responsible operations, long-term workforce development, and the preservation of regional craft traditions, ensuring that production supports both people and place.

Authentic Design

Design that sustains.

Choosing Authentic Design is one of the most meaningful ways to support sustainability. Pieces made by licensed manufacturers are built to last, responsibly produced, and backed by the brands that stand behind them.

Unlike fast furniture, authentic designs are crafted with long-term durability in mind. Longer lifespans mean fewer replacements, less waste, and a reduced environmental footprint over time.

They also support ethical production standards, material transparency, and skilled craftsmanship. When you invest in authenticity, you’re investing in better practices for both people and the planet.
