April Coffee Table

Designed by Swiss designer Alfredo Häberli in 2012 as part of Nikari's 12 Designs for Nature project, the April Coffee Table set is a study in the inherent character of wood. Each of the three tables in the set is crafted from a different species — birch, ash, and oak — chosen deliberately to highlight how the same design language reads differently depending on the material. The substantial wooden bases are joined to the tabletops using traditional wooden joinery, with no metal hardware interrupting the purity of the construction. The three tables are a natural combination grouped together as a dynamic coffee table arrangement, their contrasting forms and wood tones creating a considered still life in any living space.
