Studio Walter G designed this pattern in Havana, Cuba (hence its name), taking inspiration from an appliqued dowry bag that they picked up on their travels in India years ago. The fabric itself has been hand block printed by a talented team of artisans using azo-free pigments in India.
All Walter G designs are hand block printed on 100% linen by artisans in Bagru, India. Every intricate design is hand carved into wooden blocks that are coated in mustard oil and dried. It is common to find shops owned by the Chippa caste in India that have stacks of dusty, 80 year old stamps each holding their own history. Once the blocks are ready, the pattern is applied to the cloth. After dying, drying and a good washing the finished fabrics are ready for production.
Feather insert included. Machine wash cold with mild detergent and hang to dry. Due to the nature of hand printed fabrics, variation in color and pattern may occur.
Measures: 19.7" x 19.7"
