Exceptional modularity is one of the defining characteristics of Jens Juul Eilersen's sofas. Bridge is no exception. Variety reaches new heights, whilst at the same time setting a classic tone with its tight lines, thin seat cushion and concealed seat gradient.

"Classic, tight lines create a sense of rest. It's pleasing to look at, and creates a lasting impression that never goes out of style. Bridge has inherited all the proud qualities of the traditional floater sofa, along with discrete, classic flair to keep it modern. One special feature is that the sofa can easily glide across the floor on its low-profile, 2 cm legs. This presented both a design challenge and the inspiration for the name Bridge. A sofa without legs is subject to kicks and marking from shoes. So I designed a recess to take the lower edge out of the danger zone of kicks and bumps. And it was this very recess that made the sofa resemble a bridge", explains Eilersen.

Sitting comfort is maximized with Eilersen's springy, down upper seat, which consists of a foam core wrapped in down and surrounded by a feather proof pillowcase. The down filling in the back pillows emphasize the sofa's invitation to comfort.

Eilersen Logo

Originally founded by Niels Eilersen in 1895 to manufacture horse-drawn carriages, today Eilersen is renown for the long-lasting comfort and timeless design of its sofas.

Niels Eilersen was an innovative young man, being the first in Denmark to discover steam-bending wood. So when automobiles became the transportation of the future, he adapted his coach-building technique to build bodies for cars and buses. In 1934 the factory burned to the ground. Adapting once again to new circumstances, Niels Eilersen decided to start producing high-quality upholstered furniture. The Danish company has built upon the innovations of its founder and is constantly improving production techniques with new technology.

Eilersen prides itself on keeping the tradition of quality craftsmanship to create modern, fashion-conscious pieces of furniture that will last a lifetime.

Lekker Home is proud to be the largest Eilersen showroom in New England. We have access to the entire Eilersen portfolio. So if you don't see what you're looking for or need assistance please contact us at or 877.7LEKKER (877.753.5537). We're here to help!
