A Dinner Party The Wandering Art House Way - A Photo Essay

A recent project we were lucky enough to be a part of is a new art venture/partnership between stylist Janine Maggiore and florist extraordinaire Krissy Price (you may know her as Boston Pollen) –  called The Wandering Art House. They're two creatives with overlapping talents that when combined, make art in a way that is almost superhuman. Stationed in a beautiful home in Merida, Mexico their goal is for the house is to be a retreat location for artists of all sorts: "It is a home for focused, intentional moments to develop and pursue creation in any medium." Although we couldn't make it down to experience their magic live and in-person, a ton of Lekker designs took the trip to be a part of the adventures. And thanks to the amazing photography by Krissy, you can imagine you were there, too.

We wanted to share a photo essay with you all – to reflect on the beauty of collaboration, creativity, and women creators.

A Dinner Party at The Wandering Art House

The foundation of any dinner is the dinnerware (pun intended). For Wandering Art House, that meant our Serax's Base Collection.

Dinner was planned for 10-15 guests at the beautiful Casa Agnosta Merida that Wandering Art House calls home.

La Cetto Sierra Blanca Sauvignon Blanc was the choice drink of the hour.

A light snack of Mini toasts with jocoque sun-dried tomatoes and almonds set the scene (and the appetite).

Wild rice with cranberries and pine nuts coordinated perfectly with the table linens.

Pork loin in a creamy white wine sauce with mushrooms and bacon complemented the grains.

For some acidity, beet carpaccio with goat cheese and candied walnuts, and Arugula with balsamic glaze and sea salt brightened up the spread.
