Charles & Ray Eames
While for many years Charles was credited for the couple's work, both Charles and Ray Eames contributed enormously to their award-winning designs. Shortly after marrying in Michigan, where they worked together, the couple moved to Los Angeles and started their own office. They not only created some of the most iconic furniture pieces of the 20th century, but dabbled in various art forms, including textile design and filmmaking. While the Eames Office disbanded following Charles's death, their furniture is still produced by brands such as Herman Miller and Vitra.
